Summerland Aquarium celebrated its 53rd Birthday on February 2nd, 2021. Business founders, Warren and Barbara Woolley, have been fish hobbyists since 1962—after purchasing an aquarium of goldfish for their son Christopher, who is now the manager of the business. 

Back in 1968, the business was operated out of Goonellabah and remained there for 7 years. In June 1975, they moved to Wollongbar as they needed more room to expand. From 1980, the nursery side of the business launched, with rare succulent plants becoming a mainstay. 

The aquarium has now grown to be one of the largest on the NSW Far North Coast, stocking an extensive range of all the latest aquariums and accessories on the market today. 

As a retail and wholesale business, Summerland Aquarium specialises in goldfish, American and African Cichlids, tropical fish as well as all premade and custom aquariums. 

Between them, the Woolley’s have more than 120 years’ experience. Coupled with their helpful service, and you get advice that is dependable, reliable and priceless!
